Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at individuals who want to gain a better understanding of employment rights and responsibilities, the active leisure and learning sector and the employing organisation. It forms a mandatory component of all intermediate apprenticeships in the active leisure, learning and well-being sector and meets the 9 aims of the Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for England's (SASE) employment rights and responsibilities.
How long will it take?
The total qualification time for this qualification is 50 hours, of which 40 hours are recommended as guided learning hours. TQT and GLH values are advisory and assigned to a qualification as guidance.
Topics covered
These include employment rights and responsibilities under the law, documents relevant to their employment, key employment procedures at work, key features of the active leisure and learning sector, key features of the active leisure and learning sub-sector in which they work and employment and career opportunities in the active leisure and learning subsector in which they work.
Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence.
