AEB Funding
Are you making the most of the AEB?
We can help you make the most of your Adult Education Budget (AEB). With over 150 eligible qualifications available (many of which are supported by comprehensive resources) you can develop programmes to meet learner needs.
We can help you to create training packages that re-skill, support re-entry into the workplace, allow progression onto apprenticeship programmes and address skills gaps.
What is the AEB?
It simply provides access to funding for the delivery of education and training of learners aged 19+. It also aims to engage adults by supporting the development of the skills required for career progression or alternatively equip them with an apprenticeship or other training programme.
In addition to this, it enables more flexible tailored programmes of learning to be made available, which may or may not require a qualification, to help eligible learners engage in learning, build confidence, and/or enhance their wellbeing.
AEB and Devolution
There are 9 Mayoral Combined Authorities and the Greater London Authority who have overall responsibility for targeted adult skills provision to meet the local skills agenda.
Each authority will allocate contracts to providers who can focus on meeting local area needs, while supporting the delivery of local economic objectives.
The devolved areas are:
- Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
- Greater Manchester
- Greater London
- Liverpool City Region
- Tees Valley
- West of England
- West Midlands
- Sheffield City Region
- North of Tyne
- West Yorkshire
How we can help you
Since the start of 2019, Highfield Qualifications has been supporting the devolution of AEB budgets to combined authorities across the UK.
We’ve mapped our qualifications and developed training resources in line with the key priority areas where skills gaps have been identified by these combined authorities. We now offer fundable qualifications in sectors such as business administration and management, retail and public services, transport, engineering and construction.
What’s more, we offer everything from full qualifications to individual units eligible under various funding streams (including the AEB).
Our Highfield Fundable Qualifications Directory can be found here.
Or if you would like further information on any of our funded qualifications, please contact us on 01302 363 277 or drop us a line at info@highfield.co.uk.
