Much like the Digital College, Highfield prides itself on being a digital-first awarding organisation. By 2013, both organisations had come together to form a long-lasting partnership that has since led to thousands of learners achieving their educational aspirations online.

This was a venture to bring the delivery of training in-house to the MITIE Total Security Management arm of the company. MITIE was also looking for an awarding organisation which would be flexible in its approach and could provide a cost effective range of both qualifications and supporting training materials.

Ministry of Defence

We have close ties with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Defence Logistic School Food Services Wing became a Highfield centre in 2010. Since this time this relationship has grown from strength-to-strength and this case study outlines the positives that the Food Services Wing has benefited from by choosing Highfield as their awarding organisation of choice.

In 2017, NaCTSO, working with the Crowded Places Information Exchange (CPIE), identified the need for an e-learning course to help individuals within UK businesses better understand and mitigate against terrorism.

Highfield e-learning was commissioned to develop counterterrorism e-learning that would eventually be offered to all UK-registered businesses for free. In particular, NaCTSO wanted to draw on Highfield’s experience of developing high-quality and authoritative learning systems capable of delivering training to high volumes of learners within short time frames.
